In my case *.snt yields nothing on the 8 backups made in the run-up to the update.
No one out there quite knows where they were being saved. (Another issue I'll address elsewhere - unless someone here can provide insight: The Anniversary Update wiped out all my Sticky Notes they contained information critical to a book that is on its way to the printers'. This works when you open a new sticky note and then, first enter CTRL and +, the start writing on it. Do not try to change the font size in an existing sticky note by using this method. Or else make them ADJUSTABLE, as this thread is begging.) Use CTRL and + buttons to change the font size in a new sticky note. Put them in the store in varied sizes as individual APPs. (This should be entirely possible now that Sticky Notes have been converted into an APP. Why mess with what works? Or at the very least, make the 'improvements' optional. They aren't meant to be a notepad, so that's nearly irrelevant.
Grand that they can be formatted using all the usual keyboard shortcuts. Moreover, the changed font makes them visually less distinctive. These gigantic blobs are entirely unsatisfactory. This amounts to a chorus, to which I add my voice.
